As an online research agency, we regularly use research panels to source participants for our projects. Early this year, after thinking about how we could assist a local charity, we launched Opinion Giving, a fundraising opportunity we are really proud of. Opinion Giving is a mechanism for charities to raise a regular monthly income. We build a customised online community panel and the charity invites their supporters to join. Supporters who choose to join Opinion Giving have an opportunity to take part in a range of online market research projects. We do this by linking the community panel to online project partners so that members receive invites to surveys from all sorts of companies. Participants are rewarded for every survey they complete, and with their consent, 100% of this reward is donated to the charity. The accumulated rewards earned by all supporters are paid directly to the charity each month, providing a regular revenue stream at no cost.
